A Peaceful Space

The Ghent home of interior designer Frederic Hooft and graphic designer Eva Goethals is a beautiful minimalist space with carefully preserved architectural details, such as the great beams in the bedroom and the weathered floors. Love. More here.

An Artist's Life

Feeling very inspired by the beautiful home of a Swedish artist — especially love the greenhouse studio. Perfection. Via Femina magazine.

Smile

We have a heat wave in the forecast, so lounging by a pool sounds pretty good right about now — and having a cute suit as well would make it even nicer.

A Touch of Blue

The stylish Danish home of Carolina, Patrik and their three children contrasts bright white with various shades of blues, ranging from pale cerulean to deep indigo — all set off with touches of pistachio green. A relaxed mix of vintage pieces, inherited antiques and modern furniture make this a very personal space, too. Love. More here on Femina.

Simple Pleasures

An afternoon wandering around an art gallery — or, wandering around your hotel and a gallery, such as the intriguing Piazza di Spagna 9, a small art gallery in Rome that's also a boutique hotel.

Weekend

Happy weekend! Hope it's a lovely one. The weather is looking good enough for a picnic here, so I think we might just do that — a nice lunch, a book or two and a shady tree at the nearby park sound about right. How about you?

An Italian Retreat

A crumbling mill in a small Italian village is now the beautiful retreat of powerhouse architect and design couple Roberto and Ludovica Palomba Serafini. Working an almost magical transformation, they took away the small dark interior rooms, cleaned the fire blackened ceilings and opened it up to natural light. Now they entertain family and friends, enjoying the monastic peace their country home inspires. More here on Elle Decor Italia.
